WORD TO GOOGLE DOCS

Open Word files in Google Docs.

Open DOCX and DOC documents in Google Docs without opening Google Drive and uploading them manually.

How it works

Install SheetLaunch, sign in with Google, then choose SheetLaunch from the file’s Windows Open with menu. Your document opens automatically in an editable Google Docs copy.

Opening Word files step by step

DOCX files are common in contracts, school work, reports, and shared documents. SheetLaunch lets you move from the local file to an editable Google Docs copy seamlessly.

  1. Sign in to SheetLaunch with your Google account.
  2. Find the DOCX or DOC file on your computer.
  3. Right-click it and choose SheetLaunch from Open with.
  4. Review the converted document in Google Docs before sharing it.

Formatting and compatibility

Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, images, and common styles transfer accurately to Google Docs. Always review page breaks, headers, footers, tracked changes, comments, and precise layout alignment. Keep your original Word document intact as a backup.

Is my document stored by SheetLaunch?

No. Document contents are transferred directly to your connected Google Drive account. SheetLaunch does not retain document contents on external servers.

Troubleshooting

Use a completed DOCX file download rather than a temporary browser file. If SheetLaunch is missing from Open with, select "Choose another app" and browse to the installed SheetLaunch application.
